악기의 음색연구를 목적으로 관현악기, 타악기 등의 악기별 성능 및 구조, 음색 및 음역, 악기의 특수성 및 표현의 가능성을 연구하며, 각종 악기의 조성 및 이조문제를 다루고 악기 편성법과 실제적인 기술을 터득한다.

The course focuses on 3 things; the first is to study the distinctiveness and expressional possibility of each instruments with examination of function, structure, and timbre; the second to deal with transposition issue; the third to practice the instrumental setting and arrangement.
